"Damage to brand reputation is an essential element of the impact of any given risk on Klabin activities. For each risk identified by the company is assessed what the damage to the image this risk can offer. [...] One of the potential risks monitored by the internal controls of Klabin's communication area is the risk of a lack of knowledge about the productive process of the planted forest in Brazil. This lack of knowledge can tie paper production to deforestation. This is a risk discussed in several areas of the company's governance, such as in the Risk and the Sustainability Committees. Klabin with other companies of the sector, through the Brazilian Tree Industry (IBA), launched an advertising campaign to inform the consumer about the sustainable forest management of the pulp and paper industry. In addition, the company has been positioning itself strongly in the media with its own #allforestmatters campaign. This campaign aims to reinforce the importance of forests and position the company as companies that fight against deforestation in Brazil."

Critical suppliers have been assessed using this methodology since 2019, which aims to cover 100% of them by 2030...
