            "Our facilities procure timber mainly from our own forest assets, which have certified Sustainable Forest Management systems. In this context, Chain of Custody certifications guarantee traceability of wood across the entire supply chain and ensure that there is no timber provided from controversial sources. A small percentage of the timber used by CMPC is supplied by third parties, which are mostly certified, with only a small portion coming from non-certified suppliers. For these suppliers, the company has a Responsible Procurement Program which requires them to undergo a due diligence process to verify the control origin of the wood, verifying the legality of the origin, including that no violations to traditional or human rights were made, high conservation value areas were protected, there has been no conversion of native forests into plantations and no Genetically Modified Organisms were used."
