This infographic demonstrates the complexity of supply chains and highlights some of the main trading relationships between countries by showing the commodities and supply chains hypothetically involved to produce a beef burger. This identifies several forest risk commodities and at least 75 supply chain stages in numerous countries for just a handful of possible ingredients. Note that the exporting and importing countries have been selected for illustrative purposes, rather than to describe specific trends or trade relationships.
