Scoring methodologies 2020

The scoring methodology shows how the Forest 500 powerbrokers – companies and financial institutions – have been assessed and ranked in respect to their policies addressing potential deforestation embedded in forest-risk commodity supply chains.Specific methodologies and indicators have been developed for each powerbroker type. The indicators cover overarching cross-commodity zero deforestation commitments, commodity-specific policies, as well as the scope of commitments and whether progress is reported transparently. Scores out of 100 have been translated into between 0 and 5 points, both overall and for each indicator category, as shown on each powerbrokers’ profile.
